AHAI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND ROBIN
RULES SUMMARY
• Each team is entitled to one (1) 30-SECOND time-out during regulation time.
• The HOME team shall wear DARK sweaters and socks.
• Period Lengths:
- 10U, 11U, 12U, & 12U Girls = 15-minute periods.
- 13U, 14U, & 14U Girls = 16-minute periods.
- 15O, 16U, 16U Girls, 18U, & 19U Girls = 17-minute periods.
• Penalty Lengths:
- 10U, 11U, 12U, & 12U Girls = 1.5-minute minors, 4-minute majors, and 8-minute misconducts.
- ALL OTHER age levels are as follows: 2-minute minors, 5-minute majors, and 10-minute misconducts.
• All games start on a clean sheet of ice.
• No resurfacing of the ice for the following levels: 10U, 11U, 12U, and 12U Girls.
• The ice will be resurfaced after the second period of all games played at the following levels: 13U, 14U, 14U Girls, 15O, 16U, 16U Girls, 18U, and 19U Girls.
• The ice will NOT be resurfaced for “sudden death” overtime at ANY level.
• Overtime sequence:
- 5 on 5 for 5 minutes.
- 4 on 4 for 5 minutes.o 3 on 3 for 5 minutes.
- 3-person shoot-out. If tied after three shooters a “sudden death” shoot-out will take place, each team must have equal shot opportunities in the “sudden death” rounds. No player may shoot twice until all rostered players have shot. Should there be a roster differential the team with additional players may reduce to equate roster size.
- Teams DO NOT change ends for overtime periods.
- One (1) additional time-out will be allowed per team during the entire duration of the overtime periods.
